Melissa Long served as Associate Justice of the The Rhode Island Superior Court from 2017-2021 and currently as Associate Justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court since January 2021. She is the first African American woman to be on the Rhode Island Supreme Court. On 7/01/2025 I mailed a letter explaining how I find Associate Justice Long's work to be very inspiring to me at:
