Fanmail to UK and Back to Me Question

Hey people, I just wanted to clarify on how I can get a photo and book sent to the UK from abroad, then have it sent back to me.

Does the 'International' RM stamp have to already be on the envelope by the time I have it sent from the foreign post office?

Put the proper Royal Mail postage on your SASE
