Re: Wrestling Collectors?
dude im not getting into a back and forth on here and wasnt exactly pointing you out but there are ALOT of people on here posting pics and recaps about getting dozens of items signed all at the same time by talents and that crap kills it for them and us all as fans. Its like when Sheamus and Kelly Kelly were signing and everyone blew them up tons of request some im sure two-three or more times. During Lockdown my friend that knows multiple people employeed for TNA did take to their rooms at the hotel so he could ask Earl hebner something about someones location. We ran into Mickie and I asked her to to sign my WWE Encyclopedia only and she was happy to do so. I make it a rule when meeting talents at hotel-plane-whereever only 1 or 2 things not a ton besides who really wants to lug around that much stuff hoping to get it signed by chance.
Re: Wrestling Collectors?
There's a huge difference between sending a s--tload of stuff via mail to someone and meeting them in person with multiple items and asking them to sign, and Kelly didn't stop signing because of all the mail, she stopped signing because now she's getting paid to sign. Generally with a polite approach and impressive presentation there is a surprisingly large amount of talent in TNA that don't mind signing. It's one thing to provide a variety of different items and to provide multiples of the same item and not asking for anything to be personalized.gdawg41180 wrote:dude im not getting into a back and forth on here and wasnt exactly pointing you out but there are ALOT of people on here posting pics and recaps about getting dozens of items signed all at the same time by talents and that **** kills it for them and us all as fans. And as far as hotel hallways, it's one thing getting them in the lobby or parking lot or any common area but hallways and outside of rooms are a little more private no matter what the reason or how close to chance it is. you've got your practice and it works for you, those of us with larger hauls have our practices and they work for us. You do as you do and we'll do as we do.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
TNA talents get zilch for merch by and large, especially programs and promo photo. Figures do give some royalties and DVD sales do, as well. The table guys at TNA house shows are mostly rent-a-cops that don't get enough recognition at home and need to feel like a big wig somewhere.gdawg41180 wrote:Tna security are bholes but I'm certain they are ordered by tna management to be that way. they instruct them to keep it strict to like one item signed and only tna stuff cause their talent gets money of their merc. sales. if a talent does wave them off then they look like a good guy so its a small pr move also. tna is good at fan interaction but they love rushing fans through, push their own items hard.
As for getting multiples signed, I'll be blatantly honest and say I could care less about most of the other fans.
For the most part, many of them get in the way and take five minutes when they encounter a talent rather than getting the autographs/photo ops and moving along.
I can get eight items signed in the time it takes the average mark to get a photo op and one item.
All that said... If the talent is down with signing that many, what business is it of yours?
Wait a minute.. I didn't know Kelly stopped signing.roulette wrote:There's a huge difference between sending a s--tload of stuff via mail to someone and meeting them in person with multiple items and asking them to sign, and Kelly didn't stop signing because of all the mail, she stopped signing because now she's getting paid to sign. I'll agree about staying in the common area of a place like that. Otherwise, you come off as a stalker.
Re: Wrestling Collectors?
118 autographs on the fly in and the house show. Direct auto was a bust as the representative there was a total assbag. Told everyone that it was 1 item per person but if you wanted more you could go through the line multiple times. Saved myself the trouble and let in the neighborhood of 20+ people just go ahead of me so I was the last person in line. Douche bag threw a fit because I asked for two 8x10s personalized mind you (one for me and a fellow collector) and an unsigned from each of the three talents for my promo collection when there was a stack of at least another 100 each.
Pictures are up on my Facebook page in the 'mobile uploads' folder.

Got a question just out of Curiosity?
I had Edge sign my Wrestlemania 27 ticket. How much would ya'll think it's worth with it being his last match. It's not for sale, I'm just curious as to how much collectors would say it is.

It's a ticket, so it's a small item. That's working against it.brochester8 wrote:Got a question just out of Curiosity?

However, it's a ticket from his final match. That's working for it. I would say probably $30-40 on the fair market. If you find an Edge-head that's wanting to go after it for their collection, you could probably get a little more.
