Today's successes...

Barry Horowitz - sent 5/11 a sase, lor, q&a card and photo - received 5/22 my q&a card filled out, a nice letter and a signed IC. He kept my picture as you can see in the letter. Not a big deal, I can just print another one out and maybe send again at a later date. I was very pleased with this success, being a fan all the way back to the Florida days. Here's the scans..

Killer Tim Brooks - Sent 5/14 a sase, lor, q&a card and 2 photos - received 5/22 my q&a card filled out and both photos signed. I was stoked about this one being a HUGE fan of Mr. Brooks. Thanks Billman for the address! I really like the picture of Brooks sitting with Gary hart and Percy Pringle(Paul Bearer) and I hope to get it signed by Pringle at the NWA Fanfest in August.

Yeah it was nice to get Mae back. It's not like it is a sure thing at her age. It was weird when I got the Brisco's back 12 days before Jack died. I'm grateful for any of em that take the time to sign. I wish I could have gotten Gene Kiniski in time.

I should have listened to myself when I said no more of these TNA New Era cards when I pulled Amazing Red last week. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment because I bought another box today and got Awesome Kong. Not only did I get a crappy sig, but 90% of the base cards that I got in this box I also got in my last box. It makes it kinda hard to complete a set with such terrible coallation!

There are certain cards that are only available through buying packs from hobby boxes. WWE, TNA, UFC and just about every other entity that produce trading cards that release blaster & hobby boxes limit certain cards to a particular medium. Most of the time you'll be able to get every card from the set from hobby boxes, but if you're just buying blaster boxes prepare to get a lot of duplicate cards.

Got Kurt Angle and Ken Anderson on my New Era event used cards last night in other news. I had an event used card for both from the New Era set as well as older WWE sets and both happily signed everything. Anderson signed 'Anderson TNA 2010' on the TNA card and 'Kennedy 2006' (the year the card was from) on the WWE one, and Angle signed both 'Kurt Angle The Best Ever'. Will be uploading those later this week along with scans from some of the other autographs I got at the show

Got an IP Saturday from R-Truth as he was signing at a Best Buy near my place.

Got Matt Striker IP at the arena before the Over The Limit PPV.

The show itself seemed slow as there was a ten minute delay due to Punk bleeding and some change in match outcome due to the Orton injury.

Have gotten Mae both IP and TTM this year and she's surprisingly fast for her age.

I've had pretty good luck with the TNA card autographs over the years. In the 2008 Impact set I pulled Sting. From the current set I pulled Waltman (signed "6 Pac" which is cool because I have his other names signed IP) and the tri-autograph card of the British Invasion.
