Any luck without sending SASEs?

Hello, I'm a newby here. I've read up on all of the stickies, but I was just curious- Has anyone ever had luck NOT sending an SASE?
I'm about to send out a couple of letters.

I've seen successes without SASE's to Nathan Kress and Jordin Sparks. But you should always include a SASE, it's the nice thing to do and increases your chance at getting something back. {thumb2}

Yes, I've had a couple of successes withiout sending a SASE, but I tend to always send one because it's polite, it definitely increase my chances and I just wouldn't feel good if I didn't send SASE, like I have a very little chance of getting something back.

You pay for return postage, its common courtesey. This thread should be locked so people dont get abused for paying return postage.

If you want to receive something back then you should send a SASE. Some people will respond without one but you shouldn't expect them to. Be polite and help them out, they're doing a nice thing so the least you can do is pay for postage

I don't have a photo I just send an SASE and letter. All of my autographs but one is from an envelope without an SASE.

I believe my recent Kelly Clarkson autograph was the one I sent without a SASE but I'm not always going to be that lucky. The whole purpose of a SASEs are timing (makes a response much faster and better) and respect. (It would be greedy of us to ask for an autograph & also asking them to provide shipping, wouldn't it?).

I always try to include SASE but I had some success when I sent without SASE. It depends.
