You have to add the single letters, each letter represents its position in the alphabet, for example:

(+A)(+D) o (+B)(-C) = CA
(+1)(+4) o (+2)(-3) = (1+2)(4-3) = (+3)(+1) = CA

The answer is autograph, you should be able to get that from the last hint.

N-M= 1= A
L+1= 21=U
