Re: private email addresses
well some people are willing to trade for the addresses sometimes, but this is why i recommended a private address category. people work hard for some of those addresses. it is their choice of whether they give it out or not. i do have some successful private addresses that are not emails. i have not posted the successes on here cause i know some people are just sharks who want to get what ever autographs they can over going for a certain item.

a private address category would be great... or just an email/website category to post those types of successessupertoneman wrote:well some people are willing to trade for the addresses sometimes, but this is why i recommended a private address category. people work hard for some of those addresses. it is their choice of whether they give it out or not. i do have some successful private addresses that are not emails. i have not posted the successes on here cause i know some people are just sharks who want to get what ever autographs they can over going for a certain item.

Re: private email addresses
How would a "private" section benefit this community of collectors? I don't get why having a section for private addresses helps?

Re: private email addresses
if you would read my comments on my recommendation a couple of months ago, you would probably understand. it would give people a chance to show that there is a private address to send to. it would also give someone a chance to trade for something that they really want instead of leach's who are just not up for doing their own footwork to get an address. yeah to get a private address is tedious work sometimes, but it pays off dividends if you really are a fan. that and it would also free up the feed back section for those who do use the admins addresses, but if you think that this forum is fine the way it is then enjoy. i will be doing my homework and keep doing what i do.mwmiller wrote:How would a "private" section benefit this community of collectors? Re: private email addresses
i know and it is just sad that people don't think outside the box, but it is what it is. i will just keep my addresses that are great success to myself for the most part.Miranda_123 wrote:people just don't get it sometimessupertoneman wrote:if you would read my comments on my recommendation a couple of months ago, you would probably understand. it would give people a chance to show that there is a private address to send to. it would also give someone a chance to trade for something that they really want instead of leach's who are just not up for doing their own footwork to get an address. yeah to get a private address is tedious work sometimes, but it pays off dividends if you really are a fan. that and it would also free up the feed back section for those who do use the admins addresses, but if you think that this forum is fine the way it is then enjoy. i will be doing my homework and keep doing what i do.mwmiller wrote:How would a "private" section benefit this community of collectors? Re: private email addresses
Instead of a flip answer, why don't you try to explain it. I've read the reasons that other give about trading, that's fine. I would imagine that all of the addresses on this site were at one time "unknown" and had to be found. The website has flourished because the addresses were shared, as a community we helped each other. How many addresses in the database have you used? If you want to keep your email addresses, fine. No big deal but asking for a "private address section" on this site, that's what I don't get. Refrain from the insulting comments and explain why that would be of interest to the collecting community. Thanks.Miranda_123 wrote:people just don't get it sometimessupertoneman wrote:if you would read my comments on my recommendation a couple of months ago, you would probably understand. it would give people a chance to show that there is a private address to send to. it would also give someone a chance to trade for something that they really want instead of leach's who are just not up for doing their own footwork to get an address. yeah to get a private address is tedious work sometimes, but it pays off dividends if you really are a fan. that and it would also free up the feed back section for those who do use the admins addresses, but if you think that this forum is fine the way it is then enjoy. i will be doing my homework and keep doing what i do.mwmiller wrote:How would a "private" section benefit this community of collectors?
