After trying to buy some IRCs from my local post office I just recieved a blank, confused look. So does anyone in the UK know where I could get some IRCs or American postage in Birmingham?

Did you ask for IRC's or International Reply Coupons? Because my post office had no idea what IRC's were and they had to look it up.

I live in the U.K. and got IRCs from the post office. If the people don't know what an IRC is, just explain to them what it is and how it's used and they should know then, that's what happened to me. Hoped that helped and good luck.

What I have found is that you must ask the people at the post office for International Reply Coupons and can't just say "Hi, may I have___ (number of) IRCs" They will probably not know what you are talking about, as its happend to me and I had to mention International Reply Coupon and then they knew!!! Funny how they don't know abbreviations! I hope you can find some IRCs!! {thumb2} Good Luck!

Hi acwilliams

I know what you mean

I live out in the countryside, and my local post office had no idea what I was talking about either

As the others have said, ask for an International Reply Coupon, or explain you need the coupon to "prepay overseas return delivery".
If you persue you should get there. A word of advice though - go to a major post office rather than a smaller local one. Many sub-postoffices do not carry them.
Good luck!

I live in Canada and I get my IRC's at the Canada Post website. But if or rather when I need US stamps I to to
http://www.usps.com and purchase them through there. I find buying the stamps is MUCH cheaper than IRC's. USPS delivers the stamps other than the US so this has helped me. Good Luck!
