Gregory Paul Bird (born November 9, 1992) is an American professional baseball first baseman who is a free agent. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Yankees. Bird was drafted by the New York Yankees in the fifth round of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft. Bird signed with the Yankees, receiving a $1.1 million signing bonus. He was drafted as a catcher but was moved to first base.
