These are already up for auction!

Post by TheCollector »

Hi,

Here are another couple of today's successes. I have decided to put these up for auction early as they are a bit "time-sensitive".

War of the Worlds: http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic ... highlight=
Lucy-Jo Hudson: http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic ... highlight=

Check out the following links to view them (or bid for them!) on Ebay:
War of the Worlds - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... eName=WDVW
Killer Katy - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... eName=WDVW

Hi Dubsbball14, {up}

I have got quite a lot back, but I have spent quite a while doing it! It has only been 4 months, but I mail out every few days. I have sent a lot of letters but in reality I have only recieved about 1/2 back so far!

I also try to get the lastest addresses - using the internet is good. When you find an agent's details you can visit their website and browse their clients (celebs). I have found this is a really reliable way of doing it.

Of course, using the Fanmail.biz toolbar is great as well, as it lets you search the database by name. However, using a combination of the two I have been able to add quite a few new contacts to the database!

I will get around to adding my latest successes to the above list when I have a moment!

Cheers!{thumb2} [uk]

Hi Nate {up}

Thanks for your posting. I does become a bit expensive, but if you concentrate on a few well chosen celebs at a time I can be done more cheaply! Also, if you write to TV programmes you can often pick up several autos all at once.

For example if you write to the cast of Coronation Street, or the cast of EastEnders you might be lucky enough to get 4 or 5 signed pics for the price of one.

When you write, you need to address the envelope to "The Cast of....." and say what a great fan you are and you were wondering whether you might be able to get some autographed photos of the cast.

You never know, but it might be worth the risk!

Hey Ian
I think I'm going to try that and see what I can get. I really had no stamps so I made that list on the Collecting Help forum with a lot of emails and that kept me busy for a few days. Now I have enough stamps to send a few out!
