question about actor sending back from a different country

Hi everyone I just got my first reply *yay*, and I had sent to the UK back in May. I received something this month, but he had sent it from the US. Is it common for actors to send back requests from a different country, or did I not include enough IRCs to send it back from the UK, maybe? He was in the US during the time doing a few functions, do actors take fan letters with them when they are working elsewhere, to reply when they can? Thanks

I don't think it's common but it certainly has happened to alot of us here

I expect the mail was forwarded to him in the US and he replied from there.
