Great success, he donated one of his gloves to me recently. Lovely guy both via mail and in person. I was at Carnoustie in '99 on that infamous day. Good times

Paul is very good to his fans. Very down to earth. Open in 1999 is one of my earliest memories of watching golf as a kid. Plus he's from Aberdeen too so naturally he's my favourite player

It was an amazing day, to his credit Jean VDV still laughs about it when asked what he was thinking. I was chuffed to bits to be there. I met him again last August, and he was awesome as always. Glad you got a response from your local hero
