Re: How To Preserve Your Autographs
Is it safe to keep them in some sort of paper based album, sort of similar to the type of album you put wedding photos in?
Re: How To Preserve Your Autographs
as long as it'd archival safe and acid free you should be ok

Personally i have been collecting for many year's about 11 to be exact.I have framed most of mine and i have never had a problem with that the sunlight is what kill's them overtime.A room with window's should be kept closed sunlight can be a big killer in time.

Re: How To Preserve Your Autographs
I have a brand of sleeves called Avery Poly-Vu. Does anyone know if this brand is acid-free? I have been collecting since April/May 2008 and none are damaged so far, but I know it takes a long time to actually be damaged.
Also, they don't have a 'plastic smell' like it said in one post. I got these at Wal-Mart but they were the only good brand I saw.

So, is a cardboard folder ok?

Thanks for the tips.
Re: How To Preserve Your Autographs
I have mine mounted on acid free scrapbooking paper (using acid-free photocorners...nothing sticks on the autographs at all) and slipped them into acid-free sleeves in a scrapbook album.
Is this a safe way to keep them?

Honestly I have no idea, but I've been storing mine it a scrap book too. I imagine it'll be fine since scrapbooks are designed to store things for a lifetimeDrumchik wrote:I have mine mounted on acid free scrapbooking paper (using acid-free photocorners...nothing sticks on the autographs at all) and slipped them into acid-free sleeves in a scrapbook album.
