Thank You ;-) I hope so too!
Jaffer wrote:Now, it is obvious you are a true fan,and I wish you the absolute best of luck! But I dare say dealers, knowing how nice she is, had a field day here (as with most broadway plays actually, due to playbills). Her latest album sadly bombed... Where were all these people requesting autos then haha? Lol sigh I sent mine in very early november, so I dare say I am not getting anything back.
To answer your question, I can not recall any fanmail being answered once they have left the play sadly. So our chances are probably slim to none. She is generally a pretty good fanmail signer so there is some hope.
Thank You ! Her album may not have been a HUGE success, but she did score very, very good reviews from critics all around. And it is one of my all time favorite albums hee hee ;-)
I hope both of us get replies back from her!
arrowsup wrote:Actually, I've gotten quite a few replies after the play closed. Damian Lewis, Matthew Modine, Catherine Zeta Jones, and quite a few more (but those are the ones that come to mind). Don't lose hope.
arrowsup, Thank You so much for this comment. {up} After seeing the other two earlier today I was almost in tears for thinking that it never happened after a play ended  . You have restored the hope that I always had (but went away for a little while). I am positive that Jordin will get back to everyone when she gets a chance to go through the rest of her fanmail.
I understand how bad you must want this autograph to come back, but I have to say if you are on the verge of tears over a reply coming back or not than you are in the wrong hobby. This hobby is filled with disappointment along with great moments. It's the great moments that overshadow all the disappointment, but you have to expect the worst and hope for the best in this hobby.

Good Luck though.

It could be worse...You could have waited for her for 6-8 hours outside a venue only for her to ignore you and go on her bus!
Did she do that to you?

Possibly, but perhaps her emotion is a sign this hobby is ''meant'' for her so to speak? You don't feel that way over stamp collecting haha.

Yes, she did that to me. It's a long story and a bad turn out. I sent her a letter, SASE and photo to her to this play and expressed my gratitude (sarcasm) for doing that to her 3 fans that were waiting for her at 2am. I don't think she really read my letter at all, but she signed my photo.

I can understand that, just saying that this hobby is a roller coaster with a lot of ups and downs. Yeah, definintely do not feel that over stamp collecting. lol.

On 5/24 I sent a request to Fisher Stevens. He was directing a play at the LaJolla Playhouse. I sent it in a priority mail envelope to get it to him before the play ended. Days and then weeks went by with no response. Then almost 3 months later I got my card back signed. So it does happen.

Jordin has been really busy lately. She's also working with Allstate on a campaign to keep teens from texting while driving called "X the TXT"

here's a video and link...

If you sent well before the play closed, I am positive she's taken her mail with her and will go through it when she has a chance. I've gotten so many requests back, not from plays that have closed, but movies that have finished shooting. Most recently, I got back Rachel McAdams from a Toronto address I had sent to. The movie had finished shooting for 3 weeks and I was positive my request was a hopeless case. Lo and behold, I received my stuff signed even though I was sure I wouldn't. This has happened to me many times before as well.

I just sent to Patrick Stewart a week before his play closed, and I am thinking positive!

So, don't give up hope.

Sometimes the mail will get forwarded to an agency. I waited about 2 months to hear back from Colin Baker. So don't give up hope yet!

I guess what I was saying was taken too seriously... I wouldn't really cry over it, I would have just been really dissapointed. That was only because I was afraid that there was not any hope for getting back my concert ticket that I had sent to her.
I know that this hobby is full of ups and downs! That's why I love it, because you never really know who is going to be able to write back, when they will, or even if they will! I understand what you are saying absolutely, and I agree.
The only reason I started this thread was because I just wanted to have a little reassurance that I was not the only one who had waited after a play to get something back. (I was expecting the worst!)

Thanks to everyone responding back also! :)
