NHL Brett Hull Rookie Card TTM Thoughts?

I have a Topps Brett Hull rookie card. I have been reading that he is great at TTM autographs.

Do I take the risk and send him his rookie card? I do have other cards of his that I can send instead. I'm on the fence.

He is a good signer ttm and I have gotten his autograph that way twice.

The classic rule of sending items ttm is: Never send anything that you would regret never seeing again.

You never know what might happen to your Hull rookie card. It might get bent, lost, he might not feel like signing your card for some reason, or he might sign the wrong card and send it to you. (I have had that happen before....I sent Chris Chelios a cheap card to sign and got back someones Topps rookie card of his with an autopen signature)

So go ahead and send, but be aware of the risks.

Actually when it is said, "Never send what you can't afford to lose," that means how readily an item can be replaced and whether you can afford to replace it. Brett Hull rookie cards are not that hard to obtain, so if you have the money to replace it then I would say to go ahead and send.

Sometimes when I want to send a card that I only have one of, I order a replacement first. Then I feel more comfortable sending a card that is valuable (dollar-wise or sentimental).

Send what you really want signed. If the rookie card is the one, then send it.

Check up on ebay, man. Brett Hull rookie cards are surprisingly not that expensive, given what an amazing player he was. If you send it and don't get it back, it won't set you back a ton of cash to replace it.
I say send the rookie in to get signed.

Speaking of Brett Hull, I just picked up an 8x10 photo taken from the net-cam of his game-winnijg (& stanley cup winning) OT goal against Hasek & the Sabres in 1999, I'll be sending that in to get signed shortly.
