Celebrities with Public Amazon Wish Lists

Curious of people's opinions about this. Some celebrities and persons of note post Amazon Com Wish Lists public on social media. Unless they specifically say whether fans should use it to send gifts, is it proper to use it to send gifts, assuming they would be affordable for the fan?
Amazon does not disclose details of the person who receives the gift so for the fan/sender, they don't know the personal or private address it goes to. Still, curious if people think this is a good thing to do or stepping too close to doing things 'the wrong way'.
