Anyone know if Ahmed Johnson is still working at Booker T's Wrestling School? I sent to him there, what seems like 5 months or so ago and haven't gotten a response. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Thanks!green tea wrote:NEW TO THREAD-COLLECTING FOR ABOUT 4 MONTHS

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
Seeing as though I've had zero wrestling successes this week, how bout we have an ethics discussion here..
What's you all's thoughts on how many times one should send a wrestling talent?
And how many items do you think should be sent per mailing?
Personally, I think if you mail someone more than twice that it does a disservice to fellow collectors.
As for item numbers, quality over quantity. If I can get a good 8 x 10 signed, I'd rather have it sent along than four trading cards.
Your thoughts?

I have to agree with you. I would rather have a nice 8x10 signed.
As for the quanity, I feel 2 items is sufficient. Why would you need more than that. If the signer adds more, then thats a bonus.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
**EDIT** I'm actually backing out of this one.. I do this for the fun of the hobby and collecting, not for serious discussions about ethics or accolades.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
I got somewhat of a wrestling success today. I sent a request to Curtis Granderson of the New York Yankees, enlosing that awesome Tri Star TNA card from Slammiversary. Well, it didn't come back signed, but he did send a signed Yankees card. So at least I got his sig. and got my TNA card back! I'll hold on to that for when he hits the show circuit!

Very good question Cubsfan.
I’m with Deathboy I think you should send as much as you want. As long as you space them out months. I’ve sent to wrestlers 2 times before and I think that’s ok. BUT I would say you need to write a letter each time just out of respect.
For me I go either 2 cards or a card & 8x10. Rarely do I send more than 2 items. And, I’ve been successful when sending out that way.
I’m in a dry spell as well. Nothing since my Mickie Poster came back last week. And, knowing my luck it will be a month long dry spell.
