I got extremely lucky. I just sent a letter and my TS video cover to his agency and received it back a month later signed. I live in an area where Tom has spent a lot of time in: his daughter went to University here and I know that there is a picture of him with the staff in a local fish and chip shop. I think possibly his secretary spotted where I was from and passed it on to him. Also the cover itself isn't exactly in perfect condition so they'd know that I'm not likely to sell it (which ofcourse I will never do).

I actually got a singable autograph today. It's a handwritten theoretical string quartet part, with a set of lyrics, from Canadian music icon (and evidently my number-one-all-time celebrity crush) Jim Cuddy. His latest solo album, "Skyscraper Soul," came out last week, and everyone who ordered it from the official online store of Blue Rodeo, his full-time band, gets a handwritten lyric manuscript. The first 500 purchasers got the manuscript autographed. I thought I'd gotten over my crush on him, and I evidently hadn't, so I was one of the first 500 purchasers.
