I send a thank-you note only if it's someone who I know does not recieve a lot of fanmail, and would remember signing for me. I also always send a thank-you note to any celebrity that I get IP, too.

Most celebs would get a lot of mail, so sending a thankyou note would substantially increase their mail. If their mail increases too much, they may just stop signing and send PPs instead.....

I usually don't send thank you notes. Sometimes meaby through e-mail. I usually thank them already in my "request-letter".
