How does fainmail adress works?

I'm from Brazil,and i send some letter to give a ''up'' to some artist that was sick,and it was last year and i don't receive nothing. right, i don't ask of a answer,indeed :razz: ,but i wish to know,how does it works? Who receives our letters? And, the artist will read?for exemple if he is sick and receive a fan letter to encourage?Who receive?When an artist don't read and when he read?I need to know because sometimes i guess that some letters that i've sent for some sick artist never will be readed or never will be readed by artist.

well it depends who is getting the letter. Sometimes the secretary recieves it and sometimes the artist does. But if he is really popular then its probably the secretary. Fanmail is where you ask famous people for autographs, some reply and some dont. You are never guaranteed to recieve anything. It mostly works when you send a self addressed envelop inside the envelope you send. Hope this helps...

You need to send a separate envelope inside the one you send with your address on it and with stamps from that country. This helps the celebrity a lot. All they have to do now is sign the pictures and put them in the envelope.

You put another envelope with a stamp and your address on it inside the evelope you are sending...That way its easy for him to sign and put it in your envelope and mail it without him having to do alot of work... if you still dont understand google "how to mail an SASE" and instructions should help you...I understand how it may sound confusing...
