why do my autos smear? what am I doing wrong?

I love this new hobby but I keep getting autos back that are smeared and or the sharpie (or whatever) isn't smooth, is it the picture - glossy is what I normally get. Help me please. Thanks

It's because their glossy. This happen very often. most sharpies just don't take well to glossy photos. Are you printing them via a printer, or having them professionally printed??

Yes at a CVS or Walmart. Any ideas other than me printing them. thanks

I would simply go with the 'Matte' type photo finish. This type works well with all Sharpie colors. I submit my photos online through wal-mart and have them sent from 'site-to-store' and they arrive in Matte style finish. and it only costs around .15 cents per photo.
