A Question

Unread post by KatrinaLouise »

I have been wondering about this for a while and was hoping that somebody would be able to enlighten me as to the answer.

I have been thinking about sending to someone VV in the UK which is where I live. However, the person is American and therefore is primarily in America and is only in the UK for a short time. As a result I am unsure of whether or not I should send an SASE with UK stamps on it, an SASE with US stamps on it or SAE with IRC but if I send IRC and the person, or someone associated with them, from the UK would they allow this because they would be sending it within the same country and therefore not internationallly?

I would love for some help and I hope I have explained myself throughly.

I have the same problem. When someone comes to Poland I also don't know which stamps I should use. Polish or american.
But I think that USA will be better. Because I think that celebs keep this letter and send out when they back from tour.
But some my friends think that better is stamps from country where you live. Because maybe celebs just sign photos and another person sends it out. And maybe he/she sends it from this country where concert is.
So, I'm still not sure...

Ps. Sorry for my English...

if its VV and to do with an english venue then send english stamps even if the star is from the US. if its especially at a theatre venue then stars will have a high turn around of fanmail that they will sign a lot quicker and send straight back out, it is very unlikely that they will take anything back to the US with them but the very rare few that do often pay the postage themselves. Another way might just be to send it straight to their agents in the US and send IRCs but it would be a much longer wait. in the long run it depends on how good a signer that person is

hope this helps ;-)

It is for a concert. I have heard of stars taking fanmail with them though to do once the tour has finished which if it occured my SASE would not be viable with English stamps. I think I may try with UK stamps though and maybe include an IRC just in case.
