but why is it banned on other forums?

No. Too much logic goes against it.

This reminds me of a quote from the excellent ''Easy A''

Amanda Bynes '' for your sake, you better hope god does'nt exist''

Emma Stone ''oh don't worry. I have 18 years of anecdotal proof that he does'nt''

Dfreely is right, religion is normally banned as it tends to be a touchy subject, particually on American-dominated forums.
Best successes: Gal Gadot, Jennifer Lawrence, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Rachel McAdams

Best Responses: Freida Pinto, Gemma Arterton, Berenice Marlohe, Jeremy Renner

Recent successes: Connie Nielsen, Ursula Corbero, Daniela Melchior, Kate Beckinsale, Amber Heard

Yep, a touchy subject that tends to start fights and arguments. It happens on more orderly forums, can't imagine what could await here.

And it really doesn't matter whether the forum is "American-dominated" or not.

I was being serious. Unless I'm proved otherwise, that's my belief.

that reminds me of a joke that points out your dilemma:

Scientists have announced that we no longer need God -- by creating life from simple dirt. In response God was quoted as saying "Get your own dirt"

It always reinforces that no matter what scientists seem to prove they will never answer the ultimate question, which for me is what makes me a believer.

yea i know its "touchy," but if everyone can answer a question seriously and respect it should all go well. there shouldnt be a fight or anything.

I grew up being forced to attend church for my first 18 years. I'm not bitter toward my mother, as she was only doing what she believed to be the 'right' thing.

That 18 years left me with far more questions than answers, or comfort, or whatever it is people need out of religion. I guess some people need something to believe in though, to give them hope for something better. I see it as my own job to give myself and my children something better. My life just doesn't have time for things that aren't definite.

All the religious doctrines-in particular, the Bible-were written by humans. If I wrote something I made up, and people found my writings in a cave a few hundred years later, I would think that'd be pretty comical.
