I know! I am studying a lot!
My first lesson begins at 9.00am and ends at 10.00am
My second lesson begins at 10.00am and ends at 11.00am
I then have a 20 minute break
My third lesson begins at 11.20am and ends at 12.20pm
I then have my lunch break which lasts for 45 mins
My fourth lesson begins at 1.05pm and ends at 2.10pm
My fifth and final lesson begins at 2.10pm and ends at 3.10pm
ICT is 'Information and Communications Technology'
RE is 'Religious Education' (aka 'Religous Studies')
Just to confuse things more I have a two-week timetable!

A GCSE is an exam which all high school students must take. If you are studying History for example you are taking an exam called GCSE History and if you pass you get one qualification! (So I have a chance at 13 qualifications!

)
So, let me explain the education system in England
At Primary School you take SATs
At Secondary School (High School) you take GCSE's
At Sixth Form/College you take A-Levels
At University you take Degrees
GCSE stands for 'General Certificate of Secondary Education'

Wow, the British system sounds complicated Smudge!
I see, I used to have ICT and RE as well but not anymore
Your timetable is very different from mine! I have classes from 8.20 to 13.15 in the morning and in the afternoon from 14.50 to 16.20... and two free afternoons!

I have only 7 subjects but my timetable is quite full, since I have Maths, Biology and P&C 6 hours a week!
In Portugal, you have about 15 subjects from all areas (sciences, languages, arts) until Year 9. When you go to Year 10, you must first choose from 5 areas: Science, Economy, Arts, Social Sciences and Languages/Literature, and then you have 3 subjects specific of each area and 4 general ones.
This means that at 15 you must start deciding your future

It goes like this until Year 12 and then you go to University! As you can see from my list of subjects, I chose Science
