Whitey Herzog strange failure

Sent LOA and SASE Aug 22nd to address in db
Received back Aug 28th with the photo still in the top loader and my sticky requesting an inscription unmoved. The only thing I can think is that by asking for the special inscription without a personalization that he might think I'm trying to make money. Oh well, guess I'll just have to get him at a show.

I have had the same problem with him about a year ago... guess he doesn't signed things that you send him.

Herzog signs, just not for free. He charges $10 per. I got him couple of months ago.

Ok, he had been free for so many years that I didn't even look into if he had added a charge. At least he didn't get as bad as Blyleven. Does anyone know if there's an upcharge for inscriptions or if it's just a flat $10?

No extra charge- I got him to sign and put a Hall of Fame inscription for $10 a few years ago.

He is REALLY hit and miss with inscriptions. He put his HOF on my baseball a few years ago...all of the cards I've sent him over the last year w/ donation have come back w/out inscription even though requested. I'd probably throw extra in there but there are no promises on the inscription.
