Sent a LOR to Queen Elizabeth on January 5th, 2015 and received a return letter and a photo (unsigned) on March 9th, 2015. I'm still very pleased and consider this a huge success.

I'm lucky enough to have the Queens autograph. My grand parents received a telegram as at the time they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

100th birthday or 60th wedding anniversary are the only way to get a real autograph from the Queen.
