I wrote to Mr Hanks 2 months ago and received a response today. I sent a DVD cover and a photo. Today, I received my DVD cover and photo signed.
Address Used:
Tom Hanks
Playtone Company
9100 Wilshire Blvd.
Suite 1000W
Beverly Hills CA, 90212-3463
USA
I know Mr Hanks is a huge celebrity, but the autographs look pretty real to me. I know it's not autopen, so I think it is either legit or a secretary. I received an authentic Pierce Brosnan autograph from the same address. The only thing keeping me from saying it's 100% real is that the envelope is stamped "Los Angeles" when I know he has been frequently traveling back and forth from Pittsburgh for a movie. I would love to hear thoughts on authenticity.

I wrote to him a few years in the past and got a note saying he is out of town and not currently signing so I think if he was out of time you would get a letter like that. I think they are real congrats

Hanks in the past would usually just RTS everything. Several years ago, he began writing people back with letters typed on one of his antique typewriters, I guess for fun. He never signed what you sent, just the letter. Tom's style has been for some time to be very straight, thick letters such as this signed book of his.
Someone posted a 2020 TTM sent to Playtone that somehow got Australia wording, although Hanks was there to film until getting COVID so maybe a joke on his part. The signatures are a tiny "shift" from the style Hanks had been returning for many years but the personalizations are def Tom, you can tell by the A in "Jasmine."

But then there is this bookstore owner who received a letter from Tom just last year, in style that there is no questions about.

camnc123, yours doesn't match the consistent form that Tom has used for awhile now. Moreover, Tom has never been known to return sent items back signed, certainly not over the past decade. That being said, as I said to begin with, I can't recall the last time (if ever) that Tom used a ghost signer. So I'm torn on it, very skeptical.
Yeah I’m in the mindset. His signature is really inconsistent but the “Tom” part of his autograph matches others. The autographs look real, he seems like a really nice guy and not the kind to have a ghost signer, and I have received authentic successes from the address. On the other hand, I know he is busy flying back and forth from Pittsburgh and isn’t know for signing TTM. I wrote a really long and nice note so I am either really lucky or the are secs. The thing that sucks about TTM collecting is I’ll never know for sure. Thanks for the input!
