Richard M. Heyman, Jr. (Dick) joined up with the U.S. Army Air Corps on June 2, 1942 and served in the military as a pilot for 32 years, until his retirement in May 1973.
At one point he was the youngest pilot in the 8th AF.... Flew over the D-Day beaches in his P-38
B-26 Invaders during the Korean War and scored 1 air kill.
F-105 Thunderchiefs in Vietnam.
Sent him 2 photos on 24 Jun and got them back signed on 8 Jul
