Today performing for a few days I went to meet Berkoff, Jay Benedict and Andree Bernard
Well I went round the back of a small theatre on the way home from work. Armed with my Beverly Hills Cop Steelbook, and a few photos for Steven to sign (along with a OFAH sleeve for Andree)
I heard his voice and could see the door open...as I approached he saw me and said ''you cant come in her this is stage door'', I then said I just have a few things I was wondering if you could sign..
No I don't sign
Jay Benedict then said come on give the guy a break, I will sign for you...then Andree arrived again signed, asked me what I wanted Steven to sign.. Just a bluray and these photos
She takes it too him he signs the steelbook... ''that's all, they ask me to sign one then another then another''
She then tells me come back tonight he will sign the others...she is so nice
So I turn up after the show he is signing... who's got merchandise (he had a few books on sale and DVD's) only wanted to sign those things
sees me and says, I've signed for you 6 things today turning up at stage door
so I say six?? you signed one bluray for me, he doesn't reply and im told to leave by the staff
I then see Andree again explain what happened, she told me he can be an ass, pop the photos in an envelope and leave them at the stage door addressed to her and she will get them signed
Without her it would have been a complete waste of time, but I will give it a go. Part of me is really disappointed as I really like his films, its just like give me a chance
part of me wants to just chuck them away and never bother with his work again, but I know this happens at times.
The play is set for London next and I can see it getting worse, im just glad I never had to travel far I guess

Re: Steven Berkoff
I met Steven Berkoff at the Entertainment Media Show convention in 2012. I was very surprised when he was announced as a guest there as I didn't think signing events were his cup of tea.
He signed my Rambo 8x10 (he charged £15 for a signature) and appeared quite grumpy but I was happy to get his signature. I also had a photo shoot with him. He was wearing a woolen hat and had his hands in the pockets of his hoodie
