I searched any couldn't find a topic on the movie State of Play (2008). I've heard that it will be filmed in L.A. and that production begins Nov. 5.

I emailed the production company, Andell Ent., at inquiries@andellinc.com and got this response:

I just read that Brad Pitt pulled out so I guess they'll have to recast his part.

They must recast Brad Pitt's role by the 29th of this month, or else this film will begin to lose other cast and crew that are signed on to be in this movie. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

Looks like Russell Crowe will be filling in. Hopefully filming will start stortly after they get the contracts taken care of.
