Hi everyone

A number of members have been complaining that certain people's signatures are far too excessive in their size and content. Not only is it annoying to scroll past these signatures, but it is also inconvenient for those of us who have slow internet connections. Admin + the moderation team have decided to implement new rules pertaining to this.

Please ensure that you comply with the following rules from now on!

a.) Your signature is not allowed to exceed 600x300 in dimension. Please limit yourself to having one graphic/banner in your signature.
b.) If you do not currently comply with rule (a), you will be sent a PM by a moderator asking to please remove, or resize, the necessary content in your signature.
c.) Failure to do so within seven days, will result in us contacting admin to have your signature removed completely, without your consent.

Please adhere to the above to make this forum more accessible for all!

Some rule on the amount of text in signatures also wouldn't go a miss. Half the time the signature has more words than the posters reply

Very true. Someone's signature is really large and it makes the computer a lot slower.

Is this going to be put in place yet? It has been about a week and a half since you made the rules. I still see members with huge signatures or large quantity of signatures on some member's profiles. Some are just getting annoying...I wouldn't have posted here at this moment if it hadn't been bothering me as much.

I even see some Moderators with too large signatures. I am reminding people through a message though.

I've been on vacation for the past ten days, so I've not been able to really get out there and implement the new rules. Now that I'm back home I can go into 'overdrive' and contact/follow up many more members, and I'd appreciate any help from fellow Mods + Trainee Mods.

This is a joke right? Mine probably barely goes over your "max" and I don't see why mine is such a big deal. It fits on one page, it's one graphic, you don't have to scroll even on a smaller window, ... come'on.

I believe they are considering the whole signature area, not just the image/banner- so including the text, your signature area is outside of the limitations. (just having your image might be okay, but with the additional text- it's not.)

Yours is huge, I dont see how you can even complain about being asked to remove yours. I have my settings so that everything is pretty small, and your sign takes up over half the window, so its quite plainly far too big.

May I just add that it would especially be expected of Trainee Moderators to adhere to these rules, as you are part of a team that should be setting an example?!
