Patrick Stewart success from a LONG TIME AGO - 3 Years??!!!!
this one left me speechless!!! when i started to write seriously to stars i used to buy 10x8 photos and send them - and this one i must have sent to Patrick Stewart (when he was in a stage play in London about 3 years ago - thats how i can date it???), and a SAE - it must have either re-surfaced or something as it was signed by the great man himself and arrived today!!!! WOW i am so so happy!!!!

Congrats after getting a success after all this time! If you sent it to Patrick when he did Hamlet in London, that would be Dec 08-Jan 09

well done!!! it was Hamlet, so it was 2 years!!!! still, i was shocked as i since wrote to him last year (as i thought the V.V was a loss) and heard back in months, so im putting that none down to it being at the bottom of a large pile of fanmail!!!osiris wrote:Congrats after getting a success after all this time! Re: Patrick Stewart success from a LONG TIME AGO - 3 Years??
Hi,
Congratulations on your success. I too recieved Patrick Stewart yesterday and i worked out that it must have taken a good 3 years to come through. I had actually completley forgotton about it. I was quite surprised when i opened it. From what i can work out it looks as though i wrote my letter in Febrauary 2007 so it could even be almost 4 years! Mine could have been in the same batch as yours possibly!?
Well done
Steve

Considering my attachment to that production, it's not surprising I figured it out ;) He went straight from that to Waiting for Godot, filmed Hamlet (while still doing Godot), did a play in Chichester called Bingo, then filmed Macbeth, then off to A Life in the Theatre on Broadway... it's not surprising some unfortunately got delayed, he's barely stopped working lolYorkshirePaul wrote:well done!!! it was Hamlet, so it was 2 years!!!!osiris wrote:Congrats after getting a success after all this time!
