Not odd at all. Trejo,for whatever reason, may not be able to sign/may not be signing at the moment, so rather than disappoint fans, he signed a whole bunch of photos to be sent out to requests (assuming that the signature is real.)

For in-persons, no matter if you catch them on the fly or where there are scheduled signings and they want to try and have everyone on line get an autograph, a rushed signature is unavoidable. So long as the stamps add up to the amount of postage needed from the US to Brazil, you're fine. Currently, domestic Forevers are worth 55 cents and global Forevers are $1.15. So you could use two domestic Forevers plus a five-cent stamp to make the rate of one global Forever, for example.

In general, expecting a response by the end of April/beginning of May - that's two months from now - is too short a time to expect a response. Some may reply quickly, some may respond longer - and some not at all.
