Re: No Success Yet for Larry Storch Autograph
What takes a few days or a few weeks for one person can be a few months or even a few years for another. Nothing is guaranteed, especially when people are doing us a favor by signing stuff. They can be busy with family, on vacation, or whatever... or they may just one day up and quit signing. Or you...

Re: USPS and board backed envelopes
They are supposed to classify it as a package, but some Post Offices don't. All depends on the clerk. Difference is not that much domestically, but internationally it does raise the price. What I've done on the US side when needing a photo returned from Europe is to send only 5x7s, a 6x9 envelope an...

Re: how many dollars
Within the US: Two Forever airmail stamps and a Forever first-class stamp usually covers the cost of a SASE containing a 8*10 photo in a sleeve, a piece of backer cardboard and the envelope. Because it's usually $2.50 to mail a larger 9*12 envelope containing such items, plus a LOR, to a person with...

Re: John Glenn Success!!
Congrats! Glenn is real-friendly to autograph seekers, both TTM and in-person. There are plenty other astronauts who sign for free TTM (some you have to provide your own material), but astronaut autograph collecting can be pretty rewarding if one is patient for their response.

Re: Jerry Maren DON'T BOTHER JERK
We are also in the position to be disappointed but with that disappointment we must separate the actor's performance from their non-signing self. If someone watches Wizard and gets **** during the Lollipop scene, because Jerry didn't sign, they have personal problems greater than someone not signin...

Re: Jerry Maren DON'T BOTHER JERK
People can charge what they want for their signature. Doesn't make them a jerk. We have the option of paying or not paying. Simple as that. You don't feel it's worth the fee, vote with your wallet... but there's no need for name calling. Nobody owes anybody an autograph; just because (the royal) you...

Re: Question about sending book for autogrpah
What I usually do on the SASE package is have my name and address as both the from and to fields (even though I've been told by one person the Post Office won't deliver the package that way, but I've used that enough times.) I've since modified it to have my old address (but where I still get mail, ...

Re: Question about sending book for autogrpah
Here's how I send out a book to be autographed, in the US. I use a Medium Rate Flat Rate Priority Mail box, with postage printed out and addressed to me. In that box I put some cushioning material as well as the book and a roll of packaging tape. I lightly tape but do not seal that box. I write a le...

Re: Fan mail Emma Watson and Rupert Grint
Unfortunately, unless you meet someone in person, there is no way to be 100 percent sure that a celebrity his/herself sees your letter, and not through an assistant. Most people have assistants to help them deal with the fan mail, sorting it into autograph requests, charity requests and appearances,...

Re: How to write a Fan Letter.
Also, authors will NOT look at unsolicited manuscripts, or even at hints of one, because they could be sued if an idea someone came up with shows up in their work.
