Don't waste your money for postage. Unsolicited scripts will at best be returned, at worst will be tossed. Unread. Because if there's a movie or TV show or book that contains an element that is too similar to an element in your script, a person can claim they're the originator and thus be owed money...

Cernan will sign his book TTM for free. I guess that also applies to digital versions.

Why didn't she just give it to him? Probably because 1)you're not the first person to try that and 2)he wants all autograph requests to go through his agency. His wife is under no obligation to forward it to him.

Some of the others on ASTP - support, backup and prime - also sign for a charge. Brand doesn't sign TTM anymore, although he does do appearances. Bean will do the rare free signing at a lecture. Bobko signs in person - haven't done a TTM to him in a while, but Crippen does sign TTM. Don't know about...

It's said that Tim replies authentically through Boxing Cat. That said, unless you see it signed in front of you, you can never be absolutely certain. FWIW, my Tim Allen-signed photo came with a LOA. I always send a letter of inquiry first if it's something I don't want to lose. It's not 100 percent, but helps cut down on lost photos and wasting postage.

If you think $300 is steep, Aldrin goes for at least double that. Depending on the photo and what you want signed.
