There are many reasons why you don't get a response withing the so-called wait time. They could be busy acting, which is their number one priority, you letter could have gotten lost or mislaid, or they may simply decide not to sign, either at this time, or at all anymore. You may get lucky, but for the most part the G/A/S astronauts require a fee, even TTM.

That's life, no pun intended. My friends and I are mature enough to be happy that someone in our circle got an autograph, even though we may not have. And we attend a lot of events where we don't know if a person from whom we're seeking an autograph will be making the rounds again.

A photo is $20. Looks like you got the better part of the deal with him signing a photo and not the card. If you wanted him to sign the card, and sent only $5, then why did you send the photo? No I got NOTHING signed he sent EVERYTHING back. I thought he would at least sign the card and keep the $5...

Which did you send to him or did you send him both? Regardless, the difference in the first letter is enough to suspect there's two different people signing these.
