January 2021,Richard Yao made history on becoming the 1st Chinese Filipino American be appointed to become President of California State University Channels Islands and he is currently serving as President of California State University Channels Island. He is currently working on diversity inclusion, education reform, and advocacy for Asian American community. On 5/03/2022 I mailed a letter explaining how I find President Yao's work to be very inspiring to me at:

On 12/05/2022 I received a nice letter from President Yao.
