Hi! I followed the same steps you did, sent a sae, a photo, and a letter inside with $3 a size I am in the states and the post office no longer offers international reply coupons. The post office just used one international stamp to send my envelope (it cost around $4 to send) and it's been a little over a month but maybe I'm impatient idk! Hopefully it safely made it to her and she will see and reply??!! Ahh lol

I agree with you totally Mantas. I'm a big fan of metal myself, love all the old Scandinavian metal scene. And wow, those are definitely not guys I would hire as babysitters......but you know I'd still love their autographs!
I just feel that Bardot is one that is out there pushing a real agenda and getting into politics, I think thats when it gets a bit touchy. I always try and separate the artist from the art, sometimes the most beautiful art in the world is made by the most f--ked up people. I guess what I am really saying is, with metal and horror and intense art, its not really political (except of course for folks like Varg!) they're not out there trying to make laws and impose their views (unless you count burning the odd church)
I checked out your auto page there Mantas, dude that is awesome. Im super jealous of your King Diamond! And your Dio! Thats the unholy grail right there my friend!

{up} yes hail to PAPA EMERITUS (and not to the "new Cardinal" :( ) ....

I accept your opinion. But I see ever the actor or the music. Their opinions don't interest me. It's are their personal opinions. As example i like a couple of Black Metal bands which have a very bad image... so what, I like the music and not their ideas. 8) {up}

Heck yeah Mantas, love the avatar! Ghost rule!

Yeah I get what you're saying. I personally have some folks like Larry Flynt, Lance Armstrong and Louis C.K (Although I got Louis before he started showing his wang about town) and I can completely understand wanting to appreciate their positives rather than their negatives. I sometimes wonder if they take my letter as a vote of support for their negative actions.
I can definitely appreciate Ms. Bardots cultural significance, I'm not saying theres anything WRONG with writing to her. Just found myself questioning myself sending to some unsavory folks and wondered if anyone else felt the same. Obviously, I'm sure we can all agree there are some celebrities that have fallen to far to redeem, I mean, who wants an autograph from Subways Jared these days?

Exactly ! Today is meanwhile for a so much of people immediately so much statements racialist. :roll: She is since a long while on my list but i must organize french stamps. Her statements do not interest for me. I have the same opinion like you. {up}

I get it, totally fair enough. I do wonder sometimes when I send to people like this, if they're going to take my fanmail as support of their views rather then their work or cultural significance.
Truly no judgement, as I said, I've got a few shady ones myself. Just wondering other folks opinions about writing to stars like Bardot.

Maybe because Ms Bardot is a good signer, big name and was a great big star too..... She is very friendly and generous with her loyal fans around the world.... Loves the animals rights too, so for me its more an heroine than a racist, as you said.....

She's a wretched old racist and homophobic hag. No offense to you, but shes such a horrible person.
Not meaning to poop on your success there. Just wondering why you'd send off to someone like that? No judgement though, I have a few autographs from some less lovable folks as well.
All respect
J
