Autograph off of a check from the forties and it looks different than the ones
being sent out to everyone. We don't have enough proof to say they are real or
not. I don't believe the secretary when they say that Ms. Day is signing. They are
most likely lying to you Countpaul. I know facts. Fact 1. ms. Doris Day lives in Northern
California, Fact 2: she had a son who died and became a hermit ever since then fact: 3: she never makes appearances even not showing up for the Oscars when she received an honorary one.
Doris Day has not yet recieved an honoray or any other type Oscar.
I apologize everyone. I thought she had received an Oscar but was mistaken with someone else!!

Well after all of this.....and Im sure some people didnt even listen to this sweet lady in her own words..........I am saying that I tend to believe as stated before that they are genuine given various proofs as far as her word. Comparisons of her inscriptions etc.  In no way does anyone here know 100% that the are fake or genuine. The only person to know is Doris Day.....and perhaps her secretary should she have one. No one can be 100% sure they are genuine unless they were signed in front of us. For all we know the loopy D's from 20 years ago were secretaries......I just hate everyone giving what seems like a genuine caring individual a bad rap....Even if they are fake, she has retired from films so she owes us nothing. Owing us nothing would also mean that people who have emailed her at the Kentucky Animal League are perhaps getting presigned photos inscribed by a secretary.....who knows.  It wouldnt be a first. Also later on in that interview she explains how a fan later wrote her a rather rude letter because she had been unable to send her an autographed photo or thank you note for the hand made gift a fan had sent. I dont remember the direct quote but it is from part of the interview I posted but basically since she didnt have the address due to the roof leak and the renovations in her house she was so sorry she had been unable to write to her as she usually would. She said the fan was very unhappy with her...very irrate etc and appologized. So once again she is either really reading and replying to her mail......or she is admiting sometype of bad fanmail seeing her in an unflattering light. If I was a celebrity(hermit) I would not admit that some of my fans were "pissed" at me. Pissed is my words not hers but it was the basic jist of it.....I dont really see how any sensible human being would think that Doris Day would admit to have pissed off some of her fans by not responding.....How does this make sense....I for one am glad I still have one of the two autographs sent to around 15-20 years ago with the loopy D....as described before the other was totally ruined in one of my basement floods. I will also be happy with whatever I get from her from my request being sent through my reporter friend. And all you nay sayers say what you will but I really dont know what I will get as a response. If I get a response with a closely resembled Loopy D's then perhaps she has a secretary signing mail and is a lier(the girl next door)If I get the same signature as everyone else it would of course at least prove that people sending through various addresses are getting the same response....but again does not prove 100% she signed it. In my letter I enclosed an other letter to Doris...sealed along with a LOA and a trading card drawing I did. So its not like she will be opening the letter and signing for him to verify it. Just that infact it did get personally to Miss Doris Day herself who will then choose what to do with it what she wants.

We are talking about Doris Day, not Justin Bieber...so therefore your response isn't valid on this page. You have been given fact after fact and you still believe what you want to...hence the statement! And all you or anybody else can say is "This old signature looks like this." Yeah, okay it does. No one has denied her old D's...but we all discuss how her D's have changed over time and been proven as real.

And you are really talking about having the last word? If you felt that way, you wouldn't hound EVERYONE. I've tried to stay away, but every now and then will pop up and comment. Or I'll congratulate someone and sure enough...you come along to say it's a fake...and only that.

You all have such a low opinion of Ms. Day. To you, she is a crazy hermit who hates all but will gladly have fake signatures sent out and have people deny in emails that they are fake but real. And this same hermit who has turned her back, will post pictures or do interviews for things and sound so happy and cheerful and even sign her name like the fan mail, but she is just a crazy, bitter fake....hmm, which one of things is not like the other???
If this post was for me, NOW I have a few things to say:

1. A LOT of you have had a guilty conscience with my posts as well because you always think I am attacking members and I am not doing so.

2. The situation between Justin and Doris IS THE SAME, so get over it Hun!

3. What I post isn't hounding, but that's how you feel.
(In your words: "..unless someone has a guilty conscience.."

4. I NEVER said anything about her being a hermit. LOL!!

5. Just becuase she says "I SIGN MY MAIL" doesn't mean she does.

6. It's just an OPINION. Like I said, respect mine and I will respect yours.

END OF STORY! :D

Ps.....does this look like a crazy hermit to anyone it was taken and released for her 86th birthday last year by her foundation. Isnt it annoying how these hermits keep releasing albums, photos press releases and calling in to interview shows....LoL
Ps thats her dog Duffy Day ;) I actually believe a few people on here will even contradict that fact she looks great here at 86 y.o. But it is also in her 2012 calendar. I also have seen photos of her taken in 2012 of her with the author of the new Doris Day paperdoll book. Nope didnt called it Clara Kapplehoff...Not Doris Kapplehoff or even Eunice.....so I guess its because shes such a hermit she doesnt have control over her image anymore.....LoL And sharp memory talking about her films and music on current talk shows....granted shes not out there as much as the Kardashians.....LoL but I think they should go into hiding.
Ps DG.....Kims TTM are fake....lol

I dont bash your own personal opinion....But I dont even recall you ever writing on this or Justin Biebers posts as being your personal opinion.....you many, many times write how the believers are delusional and then also stating in capital letters the TRUTH is.....no that is not the truth it is your opinion....

I will 100%, however no member here should bash what I believe in. I explain why I think Justin is fake or whatever with details on why I believe so, but I wouldn't say "they are stupid" if they don't agree. LOL! And that's what gets to me...And people try to egg on other members and then it becomes a 3 page thing with someone trying to get the last word....If there was more respect that wouldn't happen..Just sayin' {down}
If there was more respect, people wouldn't be spreading unsubstantiated and in fact debunked rumors about Ms. Day being a hermit, while in that same sentence, proving that she isn't. Just sayin'.
