Person A: I have a private e-mail address if you want to trade.
Person B: Why don't you just post it?
Person A: Too many people will use it and then nobody will be able to use it.
Person C: Doesn't matter - it's just a pre-print.
Person A: I know, but you don't have to be so mean.
Fact #1: Some e-mails are legit - some are pre-prints.
Fact #2: Bigger celebrities don't have time to answer all e-mails; smaller ones can't afford it.
Fact #3: There are better ways to get this information than this, unless you just like to engage in random conversations.
A) Try the following database (only drawback is that you have to work quickly. Yes, the stream gets overfished, and eventually some celebs will require SASE):
https://www.sportscardforum.com/scfttmm ... ccess/1/10
B) Google your targets - try the contact emails on their websites or see if anything is listed on social media. Your return will probably be no more that 10% if that, but I'm up over 2,300 at the moment in about 10 years, and I ONLY make e-mail requests.
C) Try a different strategy: 1) send out a lot of emails; 2) see who responds; 3) become their fan. You'll hardly ever be disappointed that way. Those of you who start with #3 will almost always be.
