Stop crying and put your big boy pants on. I must of lost 500 8x10 glossy photos that were never sent back. Its all part of the hobby.

Just a follow-up. I never received a thing. Was so disgusted about the loss of my materials, I packed up every book, CD and DVD I had of Marilyn Horne and mailed it to her along with a letter politely explaining why I did. No response. I would not risk sending her anything. Either she or her male assistant will not bother to acknowledge it or return it to you.

And no, I am not a stalker. I would never treat someone the way I have been treated. We are all born the same way. Some have talents and gifts in one area while other have them in another. You don't treat people poorly because you are famous. I am just posting to avoid someone else losing materials or expecting a response and not get one thing.

In November 2015, I sent her CMA agent a recital program I had from 1990 and a picture politely asking for an autograph after reading the first poster. Sadly, I have never gotten my materials back even unsigned after multiple attempts on my part and even seeing her personal assistant in person at a master class at Carnegie Hall in January 2017. He had promised me via her agent and then by his personal email to return my documents to me at least 4 times over 2016. Never did. Only received excuses from him.

After a final attempt to get them back, I emailed her CMA agent who forwarded my email to her assistant. He responded promptly that he was sorry, but would get them to me but to give him until after the first of the year which I did. I reached out to him before Marilyn Horne's master class at Carnegie Hall on January 18th that I was attending to see if I could pick up my materials at CMA. No response.

I had offered to picked them up at CMA unsigned while I was in NYC (I wanted them back for my scrapbook), but he never responded to me. At the CH master class, I went up to him and introduced myself. He promised me that he would have it delivered personally to my hotel near CN, but he never did it. I offered multiple times to pick it up at the CMA office, but he told me he would personally deliver it to my hotel since he had caused such a delay. (By the way, I also had included in my original request a pre-paid return envelope.)

I would name her assistant here, but that would probably get me in trouble. Sadly, my materials are gone and I am completely disappointed. I would have never sent an irreplaceable program if I had known I would never get it back. I would highly suggest not sending Marilyn Horne anything especially if this man is still her assistant. He is not a person of his word.

Marilyn Horne Success with handwritten letter!

Hi guys. I actually received this one back a couple months ago. I did not get her autograph for myself, but for one of my friends. I sent a LOR, an 8x10 photo, and a SASE. I asked her to sign and personalize for my friend as a Christmas gift. I actually did not expect much because I know that she has to teach. I received this back in the mail around a couple weeks later. She signed the photo nicely and dated 12/25/11. Surprisingly, she also wrote me 2-page long with her own handwritting. I was so thrilled because I have never received any letter from a famouse person before in my life. From the context, I can tell that she is such a nice, sweet, polite lady. I would not show the content of the letter, but only the end that she greets. I can't wait to give this to my friend on this Sunday (Christmas). Thank you for checking this post. Thank you, Ms.Horne. I really appreciate.
