Sent a letter, SASE and three drawings and a piece of paper for a Q+A to legendary British artist Tracey Emin. There was a really quick turnaround time for it!!   I used her studio address:

Received an index card from one of her exhibitions, and and a very personal note on the piece of paper I sent. I have decided to cover most of it up, but her signature can be seen on both items she sent back. I have tried her for two years, and I finally got a reply,  probably because she is self-isolating in her studio.

Tracey Emin website fail - September 16th, 2015
Sent a request for an autograph to artist Tracey Emin via her website
Got an email reply from someone called Alex (her PA I guess) saying:
"Thank you for getting in touch with Tracey and your kind words.
Unfortunately, she is unable to offer a signed photograph."

TRACEY EMIN - October 19th, 2011
I wrote to Tracey Emin about a month ago more in hope than expectation. Sent a card and sae via the Hayward Gallery, London where her major retrospective exhibition 'Love Is What You Want' is on display.
Yesterday received my card back, signed - Love, Tracey Emin, X
Have wanted her autograph for such a longtime |
